A touch of sparkle

Tracy and Adam's wedding at Bickleigh Mill enjoyed a rustic glam theme with a hint of sparkle.

Tracy Parker, 30, married Adam Samuel, 33, at Bickley Mill Inn, Devon on 20th May, 2017.

Bickleigh Mill was the fourth venue that we visited and we both immediately fell in love with it. The room for the ceremony and reception was perfect for our theme and the gardens and decking helped create the relaxed environment that we wanted.

A touch of sparkle: Image 2Our table plan was a rustic ladder decorated with photo frames featuring the names of our guests.

A touch of sparkle: Image 2b Our tables were named after different areas of Dartmoor that are special to us, with our table being called 'Haytor', where we got engaged.

We gave each guest a mini bottle of personalised vodka as favours.

A touch of sparkle: Image 4My dress was by Mori Lee. It had an illusion neckline with a keyhole back and crystal beading. I had tried on quite a few and it was the first dress that made me think 'wow'. I teamed it with a pair of Ted Baker court shoes.

A touch of sparkle: Image 4b My bouquet was made with white peonies and gypsophila and hand-tied with twine string. We also had gypsophila tied to each chair for the ceremony.

Our centrepieces were tall silver candelabras with hanging gypsophila.

A touch of sparkle: Image 6I wore my long hair up with a veil.

A touch of sparkle: Image 6b Our adult bridesmaids wore floaty dove grey chiffon dresses and our flowergirl wore an ivory dress. They all held gypsophila bouquets and looked so beautiful.

Adam wore a light grey waistcoat and jacket with navy trousers and baby blue Ted Baker shoes. Our groomsmen wore the same outfits excluding the jackets and they also wore different shoes. They finished their look with gypsophila buttonholes while Adam had a small peony buttonhole trimmed with gypsophila to match my bouquet.

A touch of sparkle: Image 8I walked down the aisle to Turning Page by Sleeping at Last, which was very emotional. We had Die With You and XO by Beyoncé playing while we signed the register and walked out of the ceremony to She Is Love by Oasis.

A touch of sparkle: Image 8b We had our first dance to Coming Home by Leon Bridges. We will both love this song forever.

A touch of sparkle: Image 9
We found a band called The Edge who played a selection of our favourite songs and had everyone up and dancing. They even let the children introduce each song using the microphone - they were amazing!
