Alice Lewis-Smith, 28, married Alexander Castle, 32, at Gaynes Park, Epping on 8th March, 2018.
My gown was a beautiful A-line design, where the lace top fades in to a simple but striking skirt. I decided against a veil as I thought it would looked too heavy so accessorised with a grey feather bolero to give my bridal look a more modern feel.
I'm quite tall and have never been a fan of heels, so I wore leopard print trainers. I was comfortable all day, and as my dress was full-length no one saw – I've never been very conventional so this was my little secret.
My bouquet was made up of roses and gypsophila, with beautiful plum-toned flowers mixed in.
We also had our dog at the ceremony – my mum made her a collar with roses stitched on, and she walked up the aisle ahead of me with one of my bridesmaids. It was so lovely having her there – she's part of our family after all.
For our favours we had wild flower seeds and Wilkin & Sons honey to complement our rural theme.
We left the music up to our DJ, with so many people there we thought best just to stick to the classic wedding playlist. We were able to request songs on the night, so everyone was happy.
