Down by the coast

Gemma and Chris married at the picturesque Polhawn Fort in Torpoint, Cornwall.

Gemma Morgan, 37, married Chris Lugg, 43, at Polhawn Fort on 5th August, 2017.

We both fell in love with Polhawn fort and the incredible coastal location

Down by the coast: Image 2aMy mum and myself made our boozy favours that were mini shot jars with lids containing my own pink cocktail with edible gold leaf and glitter. They looked so pretty.

Down by the coast: Image 2 I made our table plan. I waxed each table list onto a mirror that was decorated with a stunning floral garland.

We had a collection of delicate gold glassware as our centrepieces.

Down by the coast: Image 4aThe little ones loved our coconut shy!

Down by the coast: Image 4 Our florist Jen at Twigs & Greens did an incredible job with our flowers. We had a floral archway, flowers on the tables and chairs, garlands, flowers flanking the guest entrance in tall milk churns and plenty of foliage.

Our giant love letters looked amazing styled around the dancefloor.

Down by the coast: Image 6aWe decided to have a tower of cheese and mini naked cupcakes.

Down by the coast: Image 6 I spray painted laser cut butterflies with gold glitter and placed them at the side of each glass as place names.

My bouquet included Juliet roses and hydrangea.

Down by the coast: Image 8aMy dress was Mallorca by Aire Barcelona. I fell in love with it on my first visit to the Bridal Box but carried on with my search thinking I couldn't have possibly found the one at the very beginning. My mum and bridesmaids came back with me to get it, we were all very emotional.

Down by the coast: Image 8 Chris and the groomsmen wore blue suits with blush ties and camelcoloured shoes. I helped to guide him when it came to choosing the suits!

We had lots of acoustic music playing throughout the day because our venue had a rule of no amplified music outdoors. We had a harpist perform during the ceremony and also during the wedding breakfast.

Down by the coast: Image 10aOur hay bales went down a storm!

Down by the coast: Image 10 Our son stood up and did a reading during our ceremony, which is a very precious memory.

We had four bridesmaids. Two wore blush dresses and two wore gold sequin gowns, while our flowergirls had the cutest tutu fairy dresses.
