Natalie and Steven's wedding at Crook Hall and Gardens was a beautiful summer affair.
Natalie Lamb, 32, married Steven Begg, 31, at Crook Hall and Gardens on 31st August, 2017.
We wanted wedding transport to reflect both our personalities, so I went with a vintage VW camper van and Steven chose a black Jag.
We fell in love with the venue the second we visited. The fairytale gardens sealed the deal, as we pictured a lot of the wedding outside on a beautiful summer's day.
I only tried on four dresses! I'm quite conscious of my hips so I loved that the gown was fitted at the top but flared out from the waist.
I wanted our wedding flowers to look as if they'd been picked straight from the venue's gardens. I chose a mix of lemon, pale pink and pale blue colours, which looked fantastic against my dress.
The reception room was filled with vintage bunting, lanterns and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. We also had candles and wild-looking flowers on the tables in simple cream jugs.
There's not many occasions where you get to have your hair and makeup styled especially for you, and it made me feel so different and special.
We chose a Victorian sponge cake with cream and jam between each layer, which was dusted with icing and finished with flowers to complement my bouquet.
We hired a singer for the ceremony, as well as a band who sang as I walked up the aisle. We also asked my brother, who's a professional singer, to perform, which meant a lot to both of us.
Our photographer was amazing. His work is breathtaking and different from wedding to wedding – and our photos speak for themselves!
Our guests loved our choice of evening food. We hired a company called Scream for Pizza, who arrived in a vintage camper van and cooked fresh pizzas from scratch.
We're besotted with our dog, Gizmo, and named all the cocktails at the bar after him! He wore a bow tie all day at the wedding, which made our day perfect.
