A sophisticated house party was the vibe that Bekki and Andy wanted to create for their wedding at the stylish Rockbeare Manor, with a reference to their love of travel.

Bekki Griffiths, 28, married Andy Osborne, 28, on 29th April, 2017 at Rockbeare Manor in Exeter, Devon.

Here, Bekki tells us more about their stylish big day...

We greeted our guests straight after the ceremony before walking through a guard of honour.

In the navy: Image 2aSunflowers are my favourite flower so they helped determine our colour palette for the day mixed with metallic gold and silver.

In the navy: Image 2 Our table plan was a map of the world with the tables named after some of the countries that we've been lucky enough to explore together.

We're both adventure travellers with Andy being in the navy and my work in international development, so we wanted touches of this reflected in our day.

In the navy: Image 4aInstead of a guest book we opted for messages in a bottle from our loved ones that we're going to keep for our first anniversary.

In the navy: Image 4 Instead of the traditional order of service, my bridesmaids made maps of the manor detailing each room and where and when everything was taking place on the day.

Our centrepieces were sunflowers displayed in goldfish bowls placed alongside a framed picture and name of the place mentioned in each table name.

In the navy: Image 6aWe sampled so many cake flavours to pick the right one but they all tasted so good! We decided on a four-tier sponge cake with each layer being a different flavour.

In the navy: Image 6 Instead of serving champagne for the toasts, Andy decided on following Navy tradition by serving port, each wrapped with a label telling our guests about the traditions including banging on the table instead of applauding which is really encouraged!

Sunflowers mean a lot to us as they’re the flower that Andy has bought for me over the years to cheer me up while he’s been away and also for anniversaries and Valentine’s Day. We combined these with daisies and foliage and had them styled throughout the reception.

In the navy: Image 8aWe chose a light blue Cadillac to take my dad and I from my house to our venue because Andy and myself had travelled in one on a recent holiday in Havana. Our neighbours all came out to watch!

In the navy: Image 8 I chose a Lusan Mandongus dress after trying on over 50 styles!

We had flower garlands wrapped around the columns outside the manor to frame the entrance.

In the navy: Image 10aI kept my accessories simple and opted for some drop earrings that were a Christmas present from Andy's parents, a cathedral-length veil and a hair vine.

Our bridesmaids wore silver dresses that we bought on a fun shopping trip altogether! I didn't mind what they chose as long as they were all the same colour but in the end they all chose the same styles.

My best friend and maid-of-honour is a professional make-up artist so her gift to me was to do my make-up on the day and touch it up throughout. I felt like a celebrity!
