Hannah and Lee enjoyed a gin-themed wedding at the lovely Victoria Warehouse

Hannah Durkin, 30, married Lee Howard, 29, at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on the 5 th November, 2016.

Here, Hannah shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...

We fell in love with the gritty industrial look of the venue. We're not traditional and loved the fact we could make the setting represent us.

Meant to be: Image 2aI don't really believe in the one so I chose the dress that made me feel the best. I got my gown from The White Closet in Manchester, the staff there were brilliant – they were so relaxed and didn't make me feel pressured at all.

Meant to be: Image 2 I didn't want the bridesmaids in traditional dresses, so I brought their gowns from ASOS and even though the girls have different hair colours I felt the pink really complemented them both. To finish their look they both had floral headbands and I had a matching one, for the evening.

Lee wore a navy tuxedo with a white tie and pink rose. We wanted to go all out for the wedding! Lee chose the outfits himself, he knew what I wanted and kept that in mind and they all ended up looking so handsome.

Meant to be: Image 4aTo decorate the venue we had a candle-lit aisle and our initials in large light-up letters. We also had a few home-made jars and flowers on the table where we signed our wedding certificate.

Meant to be: Image 4 I decided to have a mixture of roses, winter berries and foliage in my bouquet. We also had flowers as our centrepieces and the groomsmen all wore a pink rose.

Every table was named after a bottle of gin, which was sentimental to Lee and I. They were placed in crates and filled with roses and foliage. We had ordered too many invitations so I used the decorative bee from them to make the place settings and scattered gold hearts on the tables. I'm drawn to the colour pink and we both love gin so decorating the venue was easy.

Meant to be: Image 6aI had my hair and make-up done by the very talented girls at The Glam Box. My make-up was more dramatic than my usual look but I didn't want it to differ too much as I still wanted to feel like myself. For my hair I initially decided at my trial I wanted it down but on the day I clipped it up. I accessorised with a veil during the day and a flower headband in the evening because I didn't want the veil to get in the way of me dancing.

Meant to be: Image 6 Our venue made the cake for us. I gave them a picture and from that they created our amazing cake, they were really good at personalising it – it even had prosecco cream filling!

We got married in the late afternoon so we had a free bar available between the ceremony and reception. Lee's dad is a Northern Soul DJ so we got him to do an hour and then his friend played for us the rest of the night. It was amazing and I didn't sit down once, everyone commented that the music was great and we had a nice mixture of the genres that we love.

Our photographer Emma was the best, she photographed our friend's wedding and after seeing the results there was no question in asking her to do ours. She was great and we love how our photographs came out.
