You make loving fun

Jade and Matt's big day at Caswell House was the perfect mix of fun and romance

Jade Penn, 24, married Matt Akers, 27, at Caswell House, on 3rd July, 2016.

Here, the bride tells us more about their special day...

The ceremony stood out the most. Matt fluffed his lines and I had a giggling fit. We certainly got a few laughs from our family and friends!

You make loving fun: Image 2aI wore a Kenneth Winston dress, style 1567. As soon as I had it on, I didn't want to take it off. I had a cathedral-length veil running down the back of the dress and outlining the train

You make loving fun: Image 2 We had a harpist during the day at the ceremony and the drinks reception. The guests loved asking Tori to play songs on the harp, as it made them sound so beautiful.

I adore peonies and roses, so knew that these would be our wedding flowers. I wanted colour in my bouquet while the bridesmaids had only white.

You make loving fun: Image 4aThe centrepieces were silk flowers in tall gold vases; I loved that the vases twinkled in different lighting

You make loving fun: Image 4 The table names were from my favourite romcom movies.

We had sequin table linen as we wanted it to look glam. We also had fairylights along the ceiling and down the back wall.

You make loving fun: Image 6aWe loved the impact of five tiers, but didn't need that much cake, so had one fake tier. We had chocolate, carrot, lemon, and vanilla and jam; the carrot cake was to die for!

You make loving fun: Image 6 We had a selfie area with props and a pimp-yourprosecco station, which went down a treat.

The speeches by the best men really lightened the mood. My dad's speech was really special. We also had a father-daughter dance for which my dad chose the song – Ray Allaire, A Song For My Daughter.

You make loving fun: Image 8aAll our friends and family knew our love for Krispy Kremes, so they had to be our favours

You make loving fun: Image 8 Matt's friends asked the DJ to play Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl and he was forced to do his moves in front of everyone, which he was very embarrassed about! Towards the end of the evening, Oasis' Wonderwall was playing, and everyone formed a huge circle to dance. We were all running to the middle and back out again singing our heads off. It still brings back fond memories.
