Hayley Baxter, 38, married Ash Hinton, 34, at Astley Hall, Chorley followed by a reception at Charnock Farm, Euxton on 23rd September, 2016.
Here, Hayley shares all the details of their big day...
Charnock Farm is a fab venue, again it was local, homely and the vaulted ceiling in the barn makes the room a lovely canvas to work with. We opted for a sweetheart table decorated with 'Mr & Mrs Hinton' bunting.
The venue's history and architecture was always going to allow for some atmospheric photos and the ceremony room was perfect, as we wanted it to be intimate.
My dress was an Ian Stuart gown called Babette. I love his designs as they're so dramatic. I knew there was a stockist about an hour away from us called Gypsophilia so I went with my mum and daughter. I wanted a cathedral-length veil and chose a simple design covered in sparkles, and accessorised it with a diamond necklace and matching bracelet. My shoes were so indulgent – silver ombre, sparkly Christian Louboutins!
My friend Victoria is very creative and has her own wedding business so we enlisted her to take charge of the flowers. We wanted tall vases, with high, relaxed arrangements with cream and silver flowers, and foliage.
Kelly at Pink Frosting Cake Company makes the most stunning, delicious big-day bakes. I provided her with a photo of my dress and we gave her free reign with the design – she incorporated the flowers, ruffles, metallic detail and colour scheme.
The table plan was hand- drawn and hand-written by a very talented artist called Lauretta Crowe of Lollie Jar Designs. She also created the place settings, which were names written in chalk on slate hearts.
We chose a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud to transport the bridal party to the ceremony, as we felt this suited the venue.
Ash wanted a grey suit but with a navy tail jacket so he and my 10-year-old son Max, who took on the role as a mini best man, had matching Ted Baker tails and bow ties. The groomsmen all wore Lambretta two-tone, fitted three-piece suits with navy cravats, and pocket watches that Ash gifted them. His best man was his friend Steve, his usher was my brother Ross and his wife Sueanne was my maid-of-honour.
