Jason popped the question during a trip to Dubai in 2017. "He'd bought the ring a few days earlier and hid it in my parent's hotel room," shares the bride. "He decided to do it while we were having drinks overlooking the Burj Al Arab before going out for dinner one evening. It was a complete surprise, and we couldn't have been happier."
"We knew we wanted to have everything in one place," explains Charlotte. "As soon as we viewed Botleys Mansion, we fell in love with the winding driveway and grand staircase. The wedding date was booked within three weeks of the proposal!"
The lovebirds decided to give their guests personalised tea light holders as favours and make their table plan. "We bought a large mirror and asked a local company to write everyone's names on it," shares the bride. "We named each table after Manchester United legends."
The couple's big-day bake was made by Cakes by Nina. "We chose a seven-tier design," shares Charlotte. "It was all white, with touches of silver and lavender and our own monogram."
Charlotte and Jason decided to have lots of flowers. "Our florist, Seventh Heaven Floral Design & Event Décor, did an amazing job," says the bride. "We had agrand arrangement in the entrance hall, blooms on the balustrade for the outdoor stairway, a 30ft table runner and small creations for the tables."
"We used Farnham Sound & Light to provide external lighting," reveals Charlotte. "I wanted the entire building to be lit up in lavender. The company also provided us with large love letters, internal uplighting, LED blossom trees and a 65inch TV which played a personalised video of Olly Murs for me!"
Charlotte wore a Diana Le Grand dress from With Love Bridal Boutique. "It was a strapless fishtail gown with a lace overlay top," says Charlotte. "I knew I wanted something that could be altered to create two different looks, and I was so happy with the result.
I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil, which I personalised with lace appliqués to match my dress and a large jewelled belt."
Jason opted for a navy suit from Next. "To finish the look, Jason chose a light grey waistcoat and bow tie," explains the bride, "The groomsmen opted for navy versions and a lavender tie."
"The bridesmaids wore full-length gowns," shares Charlotte. "They were lavender with V-neck backs and large satin bows."
"We had various forms of entertainment for our guests," shares Charlotte. "We had a saxophone and violin duo play during the day and evening. We also had a magician called Robert Fox Magician & Mind Reader wandering around during the reception drinks and wedding breakfast doing tricks for our guests. As a surprise, I organised for singing waiters to come perform. It's safe to say nobody had a clue! All of our entertainment was a huge hit with our guests, and it really kept the party going throughout the day."
"On the morning of our nuptials, I felt a little overwhelmed, but also very loved," Charlotte shares. "I was adamant I wouldn't be late for the ceremony, but I was! The first thing I said when I got to the end of the aisle was 'sorry I'm late'. "The couple's friends and family made the day perfect. "We had two very special readings by goodfriends," adds the bride. "Jason also got Olly Murs to record a personalised message for me which was an amazing surprise."
"We went to Greece for a few days straight after the wedding," reveals Charlotte. "A few months later, we went on our official honeymoon to the Maldives for 10 nights which was simply idyllic."
