Richard popped the question in Kynance Cove in Cornwall. "I had no idea and was wondering why Rich wouldn't let me tuck into the picnic," shares the bride. "When there was no one else in the cove, he got down on one knee and popped the question. It was a massive surprise, and we couldn't have been happier."

Rustic romance: Image 1 "We fell in love with The Wellbeing Farm from the second we walked in," explains Rachel. "It had so much personality and the laid-back vibe we wanted. We chose Lancashire as that's where I'm originally from, and we ended up moving just around the corner. The animals were a lovely touch, and we were so happy with our choice."

The couple chose an R&R theme for their big day. "We have lots of memorabilia that everyone laughs at in our home," shares the bride. "We know how much our friends and family love aparty, so sloe gin with rustic labels seemed the obvious choice for our favours."

The lovebirds incorporated flowers into their décor from L&C Floral Design Manchester. "We chose natural, rustic and wild-looking blooms to continue our theme," Rachel adds. "The venue was so well decorated that we wanted to keep things simple yet effective."

Rustic romance: Image 3 Rachel and Richard decided to have a savoury cake provided by The Wellbeing Farm. "We chose a cheese and pork pie filling," says the bride. "It was well decorated and even had llamas on it!"

The catering was supplied by the venue. "The main focus of our wedding was for all our loved ones to be together, so we decided to have sharing platters," shares Rachel. "It kept the party vibe going and received rave reviews from our guests."

The couple are big fans of hiking and decided to name their tables after mountains that they had climbed together. "Our place names were designed by a very good friend of ours," explains the bride. "We kept them understated to match our rustic theme with a simple string tie and a sprig of thyme."

Rustic romance: Image 5 Rachel chose a backless Maggie Sottero dress from Blush Boutique. "I surprised everyone as they thought I'd turn up in something completely plain," laughs Rachel. "I accessorised with Links of London diamond jewellery and shoes from Rainbow Club. "Richard opted for a three-piece grey herringbone tailored suit from Owen Scott. "He wore a knitted tie and personalised cufflinks," Rachel adds. "The groomsmen wore the same but in a slightly darker shade to make Rich stand out."

Rustic romance: Image 6 The bridesmaids chose sage green gowns from Victoria Lou Bridal. "They were multiway, so they could wear them how they wanted," explains the bride. "The girls looked great, and the dresses matched our theme perfectly."

Rustic romance: Image 7 "To keep our guests entertained, we had a singer called Rachael Green Live perform," says Rachel. "She got th eparty going, delaying the meal but it was completely worth it, she was amazing! In the evening, we had Hyde Family Jam play. We loved watching them busking in the streets of York. We wanted York to be a big part of our wedding to represent where we met. Their folk style music had everyone foot-stomping and bouncing. Once they finished, Andy K DJ came on stage and played a fantastic set leaving the dancefloor rammed from start to finish."

Rustic romance: Image 8 "We felt overwhelmed, loved and very lucky on the morning of the wedding," shares the bride. "We couldn't have asked for more. It's clique but it truly was the best day of our lives, and we want to do it all over again." The happy couple's loved ones made the day even more special. "One bridesmaid fell off a gate during the pictures resulting in her dress turning from green to brown," laughs Rachel. "We also loved seeing everyone's reactions to the llamas, Lorie and Ezra, wearing bow ties during the drinks reception."

Rustic romance: Image 9 "We went to South Africa for two weeks," explains the bride. "We had an amazing time. It's a beautiful country with a lot of wildlife and a ridiculous amount of food andwine! We'd return in a heartbeat."
