Jasmine and Robert met at a festival, with their friendship soon developing into a fairytale romance

Jasmine and Robert first met in 2014 at a Derbyshire festival through mutual friends where they created amazing memories as a group, spending their time laughing and having fun. After the trip, the pair got talking on social media. Jasmine says, "We talked for a few days then he asked me if I fancied going out some time, to be honest, I wasn't overly interested but my mum persuaded me to give it a chance."
For their first date, the pair set off to the cinema and afterwards grabbed some drinks, where they spoke for hours about shared interests such as music, history and travel.
Four years later on a family holiday in Benalmadena, Rob decided to surprise Jasmine during a walk when he got down on one knee. Jasmine recalls this moment saying, "I couldn't speak or breathe! I was going to say 'no' as a joke but realised it was not the time. He asked me if it was a 'yes', which I nodded my head to as I couldn't find the words!"

Jasmine says, "We stepped outside and the views were the selling point as it was breathtaking. Set in the middle of a valley all you could see was greenery. We did have some doubts about whether it would be big enough or not but on the day it was perfect and felt like a second home."

Party people: Image 2 It was important to the couple that Rob’s dad and friend Jen Lynn Davies, who both lost their battle to cancer, were remembered. Jasmine says, "Instead of favours we had pin badges from Nottingham Hospitals Charity, which we donated to on our guests' behalf." Both were treated at this hospital and on the back of the table names, guests found a paragraph explaining this lovely gesture.

The table plan was attached to an old fashioned mirror with flowers, ribbon and lovebirds on one side to match, which created a beautiful look. Each table was named after places the couple had visited together such as Shanghai, Beijing and Jamaica and the place names matched the colour.

Talking about her stunning bouquet, Jasmine says, "It mimicked a similar style to what my mum and my grandma had when they got married – I had pink and white roses with gypsophila and white calla lilies with mint green ribbon. This trailed into a teardrop-shape bouquet."

Party people: Image 4 For food, guests had the choice of either prawn cocktail or tomato soup for starters and either roast chicken or roast lamb for main, with a hogroast on offer in the evening. The four-tier cake was made up of flavours including chocolate and Baileys, red velvet and strawberry and prosecco. An outdoor pod provided hot homemade waffles with a mixture of sauces and candy floss on sticks, which was a surprise from Jasmine's dad.

Jasmine found the perfect gown by Stella York instyle 6586, a lightweight dress that matched the style of the venue with its vintage flair. To match the dress, a long veil was added as well as a beautiful necklace Rob bought her for the big day and her grandma's watch, which finished off the look beautifully.

Jasmine says, "Rob is known for wearing a bowtie, he had a calla lily for a button hole. He wore the same suit as the groomsmen, which was a grey/blue vintage-style tweed along with braces underneath." The bridesmaids wore a mint-green maxi-style dress with a sheer overlay and satin belt with blush-pink shoes and matching handbags.

Party people: Image 7 Speaking about the big day Jasmine says, "I'm normally a very nervous person but on the day I was so high on life and so calm. I also couldn't believe the weather, it was glorious sunshine which meant we could get married outside as we wanted." Robert, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. He says, "I was so nervous, they started playing the song for Jasmine to walk down the aisle and she didn't come for ages, I started to panic but the moment I saw her I started to cry with joy. I have never felt as happy as I did on the day, everything was perfect from start to finish."

Party people: Image 8 Jasmine continues, "Our photographer was amazing and allowed us to enjoy our day but captured so many beautiful shots at the same time– he stayed later in the evening when we had runover on timings just to make sure he got all the photos we wanted." Another person that helped with the couple's journey was Emily who works at Cressbrook Hall, Jasmine says, "She couldn't do enough for us in the run-up to the wedding, and on the day she was amazing."

Party people: Image 9 The day after the wedding the couple visited a log cabin in Cropton, which was perfect to relax and spend time together as a newlywed couple. The lovebirds are saving up for a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic. Jasmine says, "I cannot wait for two weeks just us two! We didn't want all of our holidays to be in one chunk of the year so we thought it would work best."
