Chloe and Ben's big day was a bright colour burst of beautiful blooms.

After meeting at work and becoming close friends, love blossomed for Chloe and Ben following the breakdown of her marriage. “Ben was a real support to me and our relationship grew from there,” she explains.

Ben proposed on her 30th birthday. It was a complete surprise as he'd told her that they were just going out for a meal, but instead he whisked her off for a romantic weekend away.

“We went for one night in Helsinki, which was lovely, then on my actual birthday, we woke up early to return to the airport and he told me were going to Ivalo in Lapland to stay in one of the glass igloos and hopefully see the northern lights! The night we arrived we went on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride around the forest and stopped for some champagne. As we posed for a photo, the next thing I knew Ben was down on one knee!” She said yes, of course! They tied the knot at The Old Hall Ely on 18th May, 2019 and opted for a romantic elegant look with pops of pastel and bright hues. Read on for Chloe's account of their big day...

In an English country garden: Image 1 We'd been to a wedding at The Old Hall and when we started looking at venues, we found ourselves comparing everything else to it. We booked a viewing and just went for it.

My Hermione dress by Ronald Joyce was the only one I tried on that made me feel a bit shaky and emotional.

Ben drove himself and his best man to the venue in his dad's E-Type Jag.

Oliver is a big Hulk fan so our florist included the character in his buttonhole as a surprise and he loved it.

The bridesmaids all wore grey Oasis multiway dresses.

The venue supplied a cheese cake which went down well for the evening buffet with crackers and a selection of meat and chutneys

The floral decoration on the tableplan matched the colours of our wedding flowers.
