Laura and Gary had a church ceremony followed by a fireside celebration on 11th February, 2012

Laura Morgan, 27, and Gary Martin, 30, met on Boxing Day, 2006. β€œI saw Laura in a local bar and it was love at first sight. I told my friend she was the girl I was going to marry and thankfully my dream came true,” says Gary.

Gary popped the question while the couple were strolling along Ramsgate beach. β€œIt was a complete surprise and the perfect proposal,” says Laura. When the couple arrived back home, they began planning their wedding. Read on for Laura's account of the big day...

Our ceremony took place at St Laurence Church, Ramsgate.

We chose The Dog Inn in Wingham, near Canterbury for our reception. The venue had a homely feel which was exactly what we were looking for.

I travelled to the venue in a 1930s Beauford Tourer from KCS Driving Services.

We sang traditional hymns in the church including Give Me Joy in My Heart and One More Step Along the World I Go.

We chose our wedding bands from Baroque Jewellery.

We decorated the venue with tea lights to create a warm, ethereal glow.

I had two bridesmaids, my friend Jodie, and my cousin, Olivia.
