I love Jo Malone, and have done since my very first miniatures collection purchased from the duty free on a transatlantic flight! So, I'm always brimming with excitement at every new launch. Can you imagine my delight then when I discovered this new fragrance collection was crafted using my favourite scent of all time, Lavender? This delightfully British collection features, three new fragrances: one strikingly aromatic (Lavender & Coriander), the second fresh with a cool woodiness (Lavender & Silver Birch), and the third cascading with soft florals (Lavender & Wisteria).
I was thrilled to have gotten my hands on the Lavender & Silver Birch cologne, as well as curious. I must admit to having no clue, what silver birch smelled like, much less worn it as a perfume. I'm pleased to report that it's resulting combination with my beloved Lavender is nothing short of heaven scent! As much as I love it, lavender is a difficult fragrance to wear as it can so easily be overpowering in it's natural state. The woody tones of the silver birch, bring it right down to a soft, gentle, and clean scent, reminiscent of the crisp fresh air of the countryside.
What's more if you're a Jo Malone collector and already have Wild Bluebell in your stash, we're told that combining this with the Silver Birch & Lavender creates a wonderful aromatic floral combination. The delicacy of bluebell is wrapped in herbaceous notes of the wonderful English lavender, and warmed with amberwood.
The collection is available at www.jomalone.co.uk and in Jo Malone London boutiques now.
