Up the feelgood factor and embrace the Danish way of living by introducing a bit of 'hygge' into your wedding journey. A mixture of cosiness, charm and comfort, hygge is about simplifying things and enjoying the moment – a great stress-buster for newlyweds-to-be.

Norfolk cake maker Emma Thorburn of Buns of Fun Bakery is adopting the concept for special Christmas workshops; ideal for those looking for some hands-on inspiration for a festive-themed wedding.

After bubbles and hibiscus on arrival, you can look forward to moreish Danish offerings, a hot-chocolate bar and bowlfuls of warming soup and homemade bread to up the 'hygge' levels.

Emma will be overseeing gingerbread and ribbon-wreath making, piping biscuits and decorating with edible dried flowers, while Sharon Pointen of Norfolk flower design company Myrtle & the Bee will be helping you to make beautiful table centrepieces.

The aim is to encourage people to try something new, enjoy comfort food and experience the joy of creating handmade crafts. You'll also be able to buy genuine Danish homewares from event partner Sprout Interiors of Holt.

Workshops are being held on December 4th and 11th from 10am to 4pm at Sharon's workshop in Briston. For further details and to book, email info@myrtleandthebee.co.uk
