Orient is launching three new watches

Orient is launching on 29th August three new Orient Mako Diver design models with chronograph functions to its Sports Collection. The first chronographs in the Orient Mako Diver design series are both solar-powered and possess a sporty and casual style.

These new chronograph Orient Mako Diver design models feature a uni-directional rotating bezel with six grooves common to the series, along with a metal dial with a fine lustre finish.

New Mako with Arabic Numbers launched in July
Orient has introduced four new models to its Orient Mako* series. The new Arabic Numeral Indices models have been upgraded with sapphire crystal glass, and are ideal for sports and outdoor activities, or casual wear.

Orient Mako models are an important part of Orient’s 70-plus-year history, representing everything that it stands for since its launch in the 1960s.

This series has a dolphin icon engraved on the case back and has affectionally been known as Orient Mako since its launch in 2004. Maintaining features such as a water resistance to 20-bar, and in-house automatic movement that provides stable high accuracy and reliability, the series continues to be popular with its casual and fashionable design that also possesses a vintage feel.

This collection has been a bestseller around the world, representing everything that is Orient. The series is known for its traditional classical face, domed glass with a retro feel, and delicate case design with slender lugs. The new models feature an entirely new design, adopting the popular Roman numeral indices in six positions. They also feature a dial indicating the day of the week at 10 o’clock, a 24-hour indicator at 5 o’clock, and a date window at 3 o’clock. The five hands of the multi-hand display and dual markers on the outer rim of the dial result in a dynamic design which adds a new charm to the Classic and Simple Style series.

New Mako 40
The latest model features a sporty diver style but with a simple design ideal for everyday use. Additionally, its new compact 39.9 mm case, makes it ideal for both men and women.

With the smaller case comes a movement that shows only the date, as well as a simpler dial calendar display. Bars are used for the Luminous Light hands and indices that allow the time to be read even in the dark, lending a clean feel and creating a simpler, more visible dial layout.
