The Country Club, constructed of timber in 1913, is set in a stunning location overlooking the sea and is a five-minute drive north of Aldeburgh and 25 miles north of Ipswich.

There are two floors available for hire, which may be used for conferences, weddings, dining, dances and entertainment. These can be used separately or in conjunction with each other and marriage ceremonies may take place on either floor. We would mention that our premises are licensed to carry out wedding ceremonies up to 6.00 pm. Therefore, if you choose us for your ceremony and party, you may simply carry on into the night.

The choice of venue for your wedding with us is dependant on the number of guests attending and the requirements for the day, but a popular choice, for most of our Bride and Grooms, is the Country Club, constructed of timber in 1913, set in a stunning location overlooking the sea. The Country Club is licensed to carry out wedding ceremonies and can cater for up to 120 guests for a formal wedding breakfast with up to 220 guests for an evening reception or less formal meal, enabling you to spend your day in one location if you wish, without the worry of transporting your guests from one place to another.

The Hotel has four venues, The Library for an intimate setting, The Lakeside room seating up to forty guests and the Teeview restaurant for up to eighty. All of these venues are ideal for smaller gatherings for a wedding breakfast.

Also there is our newly built Summer House which has now been licensed for Ceremonies. It is set in a spectacular location beside the Thorpeness Meare in the attractive gardens of the Thorpeness Hotel, an exceptional setting for your special day. One of just a few locations in Suffolk where you really can have your Ceremony 'outside'!
