Designer, goldsmith and co-founder Guðbjörg Kristín Ingvarsdóttir takes much of her inspiration from Norse mythology as well as nature and the natural world, and the dramatic landscape in Iceland. The full range includes men’s items such as chain necklaces and bracelets, rings and cufflinks, created from recycled 925 sterling silver, as well as sterling silver plated with gold.
All Aurum’s jewellery is handcrafted at the brand’s workshop in Reykjavik by Guðbjörg and her team. Aurum jewellery is inspired by nature, with its delicate, irregular shapes and is characterised by rich details and a sense of movement, finesse and balance. Simultaneously light, feminine and intricate, the three dimensional designs evoke natural patterns, resulting in pieces that are both modern and timeless.
Aurum sources materials from certified fair trade companies and all the packaging is environmentally friendly and crafted from the renewable paper of the mulberry tree. Aurum incorporates sustainability principles throughout the company‘s operations, such as sourcing only recycled and re-refined precious metals and only buying certified and conflict-free precious stones and diamonds.
