Hargate Hall is located in the Peak District National Park near to Buxton. We are a Country House Wedding Venue with accommodation that is available for exclusive hire for the whole weekend. We operate on a self-catering basis, so you can bring your own caterer or use one of recommended local caterers. You can bring all your own alcohol we do not charge corkage, or we can provide a pay bar.
Hargate Hall is a family run business and is not run as a hotel. It can become your house for the weekend, where you can get married and then celebrate with your friends and family. There are no ‘one size fits all’ wedding packages. We provide the wedding venue and accommodation and you can then organise everything else the way you want it. With our help and advice on all the other ingredients of a memorable occasion - food and drink, music, dancing etc. - you make your own dream a reality.
We also have a marquee in the grounds, which is used to host wedding breakfasts for weddings over 60 people
We are licenced to hold civil wedding ceremonies in the Main Hall, but also the old Tennis Pavilion and Oak Gazebo are also licensed for those who would like an outdoor wedding (weather permitting!). We can host wedding up to 140 people of which up to 77 can stay on site.
