Cote How is a privately-owned family run, award-winning Lake District wedding venue. Providing full exclusivity, we specialise in all-inclusive smaller, more intimately styled weddings from 2-50 guests.
Steeped in history and set in the heart of Cumbria’s Lake District, Cote How’s amazing location at the head of the Rydal Valley, is naturally secluded by mountain, river and lake providing the most picture perfect location for your marriage.
The house, built in 1535, hosts three indoor licensed rooms which offer a variety of sizes and styles. Each is individually and elegantly styled with neutral colours, crystal chandeliers and oversized gilt mirrors.
For those who prefer a more rustic outdoor style we have two licensed spaces. Our traditional 16th Century Lakeland slate barn with oak beams is the perfect place to say, “I do”. Your guests may be seated inside or outside the barn or for intimate weddings inside our garden gazebo amid the magnificent mountain scenery. Humanist weddings enjoy our spacious lawn surrounded by the very best scenery the Lake District has to offer. For a religious ceremony, Rydal Church is conveniently just 300m away, accessed over the River Rothay via a quaint wooden footbridge.
Caroline and Steve are renowned for their dedication and attention to detail, treating every wedding as if it were their own, creatively crafting all aspects of your wedding from initial contact and planning through to your big day and beyond, ensuring you enjoy the best possible wedding journey.
