Now, while I know many of you reading this are planning your weddings for the first time, and the thought of renewals wouldn’t even be on your mind yet; it’s certainly something I’ve giving some thought to. My husband and I have just celebrated our eight-year wedding anniversary, and around the same time of year our wedding venue hosts an open day; originally, I just considered how lovely it would be to return to the venue on our 10-year anniversary. And, well, that’s just escalated – how these things do – to something more meaningful. I blame, Tyson and Paris Fury, after watching At Home With The Furys series two – don’t judge me – they celebrated being married again with their fourth vow renewal! It was just so refreshing, they are just so happily and blissfully in love still after 20 years, and they still wanted to say their vows all over again. It’s such a statement of love, commitment, friendship, and adoration – soppy I know! But for something I’ve never understood, I’m suddenly very keen on the idea. And, who doesn’t love having something to plan right? As always, this issue is packed full of inspiration for you to plan your own big days! Until next time…. Health first Inclusive movement community East of Eden is expanding with the launch of a new Strength Studio on Hoe Street, introducing a dedicated space for accessible and confidence-building strength training in the heart of Walthamstow. The new studio will significantly expand the venue’s timetable, adding 21 new classes and bringing the total weekly offering to almost 50 sessions. New formats include women’s lifting, teen strength classes, calisthenics rings, mobility sessions and smallgroup strength training designed to offer a more personalised alternative to traditional gym environments. To celebrate the launch, East of Eden will host a community open day featuring £5 classes, special offers, goodie bags and fundraising initiatives supporting Doctors Without Borders. Founder Abby McLachlan said the expansion was inspired by growing demand for supportive strength training spaces, particularly for women looking to prioritise long-term mobility, wellbeing and confidence rather than aesthetics. Known for its welcoming approach to yoga, pilates and movement, East of Eden hopes the new Strength Studio will continue to foster an inclusive environment where both beginners and experienced participants feel equally supported. Surrey beauty brand launched Luxury sleep and wellness brand MYRN Silk is bringing a stylish new approach to bridal beauty and gifting following its launch earlier this year. Based in Guildford, the new British brand specialises in premium mulberry silk pillowcases designed to support healthier hair and skin while adding a touch of luxury to everyday routines. As wedding season approaches, MYRN Silk is highlighting the beauty benefits of silk as part of pre-wedding self-care. Thanks to its smooth surface, pure mulberry silk helps reduce friction while sleeping, minimising frizz, tangles and breakage compared with traditional cotton pillowcases. The fabric is also naturally less absorbent, helping hair retain moisture and natural oils for a smoother, more hydrated finish. Alongside its wellness focus, the brand is also positioning its silk pillowcases as thoughtful bridesmaid gifts. Crafted from luxurious 25 momme mulberry silk and presented in signature leopard-print gift boxes, the collection features a range of bold hand-drawn prints and colours designed to feel both personal and indulgent. With beauty-led gifting continuing to grow in popularity among modern bridal parties, MYRN Silk offers couples a chic and practical keepsake designed to last well beyond the wedding celebrations. Visit myrnsilk.com TIE THE KNOT AT THE LANSDOWNE CLUB Historic London venue The Lansdowne Club is positioning itself as one of the capital’s most elegant wedding destinations, offering couples a luxurious setting steeped in more than 260 years of history. Located in the heart of Mayfair, the Grade II*-listed Georgian property combines neoclassical architecture with Art Deco interiors, creating a dramatic backdrop for both grand celebrations and intimate gatherings. At the centre of the wedding offering is the striking ballroom, designed by renowned architect Robert Adam, which can host up to 190 guests and is licensed for ‘I dos’. Additional spaces include the long gallery for drinks receptions, the Shelburne Room for smaller celebrations and the newly introduced library dining space for intimate events and engagement dinners. Food plays a key role in the experience, with executive head chef Henry Brosi curating bespoke wedding menus inspired by seasonal British and European cuisine. The venue also offers 73 guest rooms and suites, alongside exclusive facilities including an Art Deco swimming pool, gym and beauty salon, allowing wedding parties to extend celebrations in comfort and style. Events manager Inga Mikusauskiene said the team’s focus is on creating highly personalised celebrations that reflect each couple’s vision while honouring the venue’s rich heritage and timeless elegance. Visit lansdowneclub.com LUXURY HOTEL OPENING Boutique hospitality brand The Zetter Group has officially opened The Zetter Bloomsbury, a new 68-bedroom luxury townhouse hotel overlooking Russell Square and opposite The British Museum. Set across six interconnected Georgian townhouses in the heart of Bloomsbury, the new property draws inspiration from the area’s rich artistic and literary heritage, combining historic architecture with contemporary interiors and a distinctly residential feel. Designed by acclaimed interior designer James Thurstan Waterworth, the hotel has been conceived as the home of a welltravelled collector, featuring antiques, vintage artwork, African textiles and bespoke handmade details sourced from around the world. The interiors include more than 500 cushions crafted from antique fabrics, repurposed Turkish rugs and an extensive library of vintage art catalogues. Accommodation ranges from cosy wood-panelled rooms to larger suites, including the Terrace Suite with its wraparound garden views, four-poster bed and freestanding bath. Public spaces include The Parlour for drinks and light dining, and The Orangery, which overlooks one of London’s largest private hotel gardens designed by the Rich Brothers. The landscaped one-acre garden has been transformed into a series of layered spaces blending traditional British planting with Japanese influences, while additional wellness features include an outdoor yoga terrace. Kevin Rockey described the opening as ‘a natural evolution’ for the brand, saying the hotel captures Bloomsbury’s ‘creative and intellectual character’ while offering guests a more personal alternative to traditional luxury accommodation. love, love Must be love, Emily and Peter’s black tie wedding was oh-so chic Images courtesy of Viola’s World Weddings 26
REAL WEDDINGS 27
Emily and Peter met at work in Dubai in 2017. “We worked in the same department; however, Peter was in Operations while I was in Sales,” shares Emily. “We spent a lot of time together and were friends for a little while before getting together.” Another exotic destination set the scene for the proposal. “Peter proposed in the Maldives in April 2023,” recalls Emily. “We were getting ready to go out for dinner. Peter was on the balcony of the overwater villa and called me outside to ‘see a shark swimming around’! While I was looking over the side for the ‘shark’, Peter got down on one knee!” The big date was set, 12th September 2025. Here we find out more about their day… Living together in Dubai, with Emily’s family in the south of England and Peter’s family in Scotland, the couple took ages to decide not only on a venue but even on which country to get married in. “We looked into Dubai, Vegas, Italy, Ibiza and Mallorca, but ultimately decided on London after realising we wanted an intimate wedding that wasn’t too far for family and friends to travel to,” says Emily. Emily decided that Chelsea Town Hall was the perfect place for the ceremony, and Peter was on board. Emily’s best friend, Louisa (maid-of-honour), has lived in London for years and knows all the best places. She started visiting venues and enquiring about capacity while sending videos to Emily in Dubai. “There were so many good options, but ultimately The Maine had everything we wanted. The vibe was gorgeous, the food was amazing, and Louisa already had a great relationship with them through work.” For her bridal look, Emily opted for not one but two dresses from House of CB. “I had them both altered in Dubai by a brilliant lady. As well as tailoring them to fit me, we added sleeves and a scarf. I knew I wanted something simple that I could customise if I wanted to. It was important that I felt comfortable on the day, and they really did make me feel good.” 28
Peter wore a made-to-measure tux, “It was perfect, and they even made the inner lining tartan in honour of his Scottish heritage.” The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses in different shades. “I gave them a budget and let them choose their own so they could pick a dress they would be comfortable in,” adds Emily. The day was filled with lots of food, drinking and dancing. “We had the best band ever, and they kept the dancefloor full all night!” shares Emily. “Music was the most important thing to us for the wedding, so we made sure the band we chose was amazing! “We also had a London bus take everyone from Chelsea Town Hall to The Maine, which was great fun. Many of our guests, especially those from Scotland, had never been to London before, so it was nice for them to experience something traditionally London.” A highlight for Emily was making their entrance into the reception venue as newlyweds and arriving on the dancefloor together. “For the entrance, we had my favourite song, September by Earth, Wind & Fire, playing, and everyone was on their feet waving napkins,” shares Emily. “I’d been so nervous until that point, and it really made me let go of all the anxiety and enjoy the moment! “Then the dancefloor was just amazing. The music was brilliant, and everyone was up dancing the whole night.” For Peter, his most memorable moment was the very last song of the night. “Emily had asked the band to play my favourite song as a surprise. When it came on, all of our friends were singing and jumping up and down together. It was really special.” REAL WEDDINGS 29

Danielle and Alex’s romantic nuptials had the backdrop of Gorse Hill setting the scene Images courtesy of Shaun Peters Photography Danielle and Alex met at the start of lockdown on the app Houseparty. “Alex could see his friend Charlie was in a chat with a few people (me being one of them) so Alex asked to get involved in the chat,” recalls Danielle. “Alex entered the chat and the night was spent talking rubbish between us all and getting to know one another.” From that conversation, however, the couple realised they had actually met a few months earlier! Love soon blossomed for the pair, and a proposal was on the cards. “Alex always had a plan to propose on the weekend of his 30th birthday, as he wanted to do it when I would least expect it,” recalls Danielle. “The plan was to propose by the river in Richmond where we had our first date, followed by dinner at Guachos. Although thoughtful plans had been made, Alex never considered how he’d be feeling after celebrating his birthday the previous night,” laughs Danielle. “Alex woke up early, a bag of nerves weighing heavily on him, and the thought of doing this in public was becoming unbearable. Alex had no plan B! The time came for a picture in the garden before going out, and Alex decided in that moment now was the time. He messaged my mum (who was taking the picture) to say he’s doing it now. I then saw Alex suddenly get down on one knee confessing his love while tearfully asking me to marry him. The weekend suddenly turned into surprise engagement celebrations that night and the following evening.” The big date was set 19th July 2025. After looking at several locations, the scenery as you drive up to Gorse Hill was what sealed it for the couple. “I liked that the venue didn’t feel too old-fashioned, and having a separate building from the hotel for the wedding ceremony was a real bonus. It was also large enough to accommodate more guests,” shares Danielle. “I loved the outdoor ceremony area, with all the greenery and the mansion house in the background. All the staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived and throughout our visits. We had also heard good things about the food, and it certainly lived up to expectations.” Wanting a modern look, with flowers being the main feature throughout the day, Danielle based the theme on the colour of the bridesmaids’ dresses. “We chose champagne gold, white, and cream, which I felt worked beautifully for a summer wedding,” says Danielle. “My amazing florist, Oakwood Flowers, helped bring my theme to life by guiding me in choosing the white and cream flowers for the moon arch, table centrepieces, top table and large ceremony urns. For the table centrepieces, we had a mix of taller arrangements on gold stands and lower centrepieces, which worked really well together. At the last minute, I decided I wanted foliage on the ceiling, which Catherine, the florist, sourced and arranged for us. I made the signage and some of the stationery myself, while the remaining pieces were purchased online to match the overall wedding theme.” Danielle wore a Dando London gown for the wedding. “I originally chose a different dress, but three months before the wedding I found out I was pregnant and I ended up choosing another gown called Demure. I cried when I tried it on, my mum and auntie both started crying too! I felt so comfortable in it, and you couldn’t really tell I was pregnant!” Alex looked dapper in a blue Sawyers & Hendricks suit which matched those worn by groomsmen, while the bridesmaids wore different styles of dresses in a champagne hue. “I love live music and wanted every part of the day to include some form of entertainment,” shares Danielle. “We had the talented singer Chess perform during the ceremony and wedding breakfast. During the drinks reception, we had the brilliant saxophonist Shagzy, whom all of the guests loved because of the great variety of music he played. We received so many compliments about both throughout the day. “In the evening, we had a band called The Banquet entertain our guests and keep the dancefloor full.” Having enjoyed every moment of the day, there were too many favourite memories for Danielle to choose from. “The morning spent getting ready with the bridal party, with Shaun and the team taking photos that we still look back on; seeing all our family and close friends having a great time – everything was amazing. From all the entertainment we arranged to our first dance and cake cutting, every part of the day felt special. “The main highlight would have to be walking back up the aisle together as a married couple. Seeing everyone clapping and cheering was beautiful. It is a moment that we will cherish in our hearts forever.” With this ring… REAL WEDDINGS 33

Romance in This styled shoot blends modern elegance with an industrial-chic urban setting Images courtesy of Chi Ramos London’s industrial wedding aesthetic has been given a softer, more romantic update in a new styled shoot coordinated by Bev K of Makeupology. Inspired by the contrast between raw city architecture and elegant bridal styling, the concept paired exposed brickwork and contemporary industrial interiors with a muted neutral palette designed to bring warmth and intimacy to the space. According to Bev K, the creative vision centred on balancing “modern city edge softened by understated elegance”, while also ensuring the shoot authentically reflected modern London through diverse representation and the celebration of POC couples. A team of wedding creatives collaborated on the project, combining contemporary florals, refined styling and soft textures to create a look aimed at couples seeking an urban venue with a timeless and romantic atmosphere. The finished shoot offers inspiration for city couples looking to embrace industrial-chic wedding spaces without sacrificing warmth, personality or elegance. THE CITY STYLED SHOOT 39
