New travel platform launched for design-led places to stay

Posted by Danielle Harvey on 21 June 2021

phone in hand Hour directory, a new travel platform specialising in retreats and activities that are a matter of hours away from the bustling city, has been launched - perfect for honeymooners looking to celebrate post-vows!

The curated platform features architect-designed hideaways outside the city – and beyond - and was designed/built in response to the pandemic to providing citydwellers with a gateway of easy-to-reach spaces in relaxing places.

Wth a design quality to match, Hour directory is a sophisticated yet simple portal that has been designed with usability and ease of travel in mind - the directory's elegant design reflects the beauty of the accommodation it advertises.

Combining places to stay with guides for where to eat and explore within the area, visitors can discover interesting local activities and book accommodation directly on the rental owner's website. This feature is particularly useful during peak season when local activities and events are often fully booked well before guests arrive!

Through details in the directory, Hour directory presents the user with the simplest routes and ways of getting to each place of accommodation by train, bicycle and electric vehicle. Hour directory even includes details about where you can hire or charge your electric vehicle while you are there.

If a stay is fully booked, the new platform highlights the next available dates — elevating users having to click through dates and search for availability. Each of the holiday lets has its own listing on Hour directory which highlights availability, travel details, architectural and interior design descriptions, and local recommendations from the owners including: a morning of sightseeing on Macleod's Maidens boat tour, an afternoon of fishing at Milovaig,  an evening at Michelin-starred Loch Bay and many more.

The first six listings on Hour directory are:· Breac.House (Ireland)· Glen Dye Hay Loft (Scotland)· Glen Dye No.4 Steading Cottage (Scotland)· Glen Dye No.5 Steading Cottage (Scotland)· Harlosh Black (Scotland)· Harlosh Wood (Scotland).
