Viktor&Rolf put fragrances at the centre of wedding celebrations

Posted by Kelly Andrews on 28 July 2021

Viktor&Rolf mariage special edition packaging Viktor&Rolf is an avant-garde luxury fashion house founded in 1993 by fashion artists Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren. The fashion house launched its first Mariage Collection in April 2016 in collaboration with Justin Alexander and continues to present an artistic interpretation of bridalwear adhering to the label’s elegance. Utilising the French pronunciation and spelling of ‘Mariage’, the collection’s name hints at the brand’s standing as an haute couture maison.

From the success of its spectacular Mariage dresses, Viktor&Rolf’s bestselling fragrances, Flowerbomb and Spicebomb make the perfect gift scents for the  most unforgettable day of your life.

Launched in 2005, Flowerbomb, profused with flowers, has the power to make everything seem more positive! Over the years, the fragrance has revealed itself as a popular wedding fragrance. Perfumer Olivier Polge commente, "We designed Flowerbomb by taking flowers to their very limits, studying every single facet of a bouquet." The limited edition 'Mariage' bottle will be decroated with an elegant embroidered veil.

In 2012, the brand launched its first men's fragrance, Spicebomb. Sharp and radiant, spices play the leading role, strengthened by a burst of freshness. Like Flowerbomb, Spicebomb exerts bold facets to accompany couples throughout their big day.

"Love is for everyone," declare Horsting and Snoeren! The designers see marriage as a universal symbol of love and commitment between two people and insist on diversity. These two addictive scents have been created to capture enchanting memories for the bride and groom, bride and bride or groom and groom.

What's more, to mark the limited edition launch, Viktor&Rolf will be joining VOW for Girls to help the fight to end child marriage, not only with a financial contribution, but just as important, by helping to raise awareness of this important matter. Every year, more than 12 million girls are married before they turn 18. That's one girl married every three seconds. Child marriage happens across countries, cultures and religions. It's a human rights violation that deprives girls of an education and locks them into a lifetime of poverty.

Guillaume de Lesquen, global president, international designer brand fragrances at L'Oreal said, "To salute the fragrance launch of Flowerbomb Marige, we are donating to VOW for Girls to support the 12 million girls at risk of child marriage and encourage our teams, our consumers, our influencers to join us in our commitment." 100 per cent of the funds support community-based efforts to end child marriage and advance girls' rights around the globe, including educating girls, providing job training, health education and more.
