Info

For a quintessentially English country wedding reception that’s romantic, picturesque and stylish, Hambledon Vineyard is your dream location. Nestled in the Hampshire countryside, the elegant Hambledon Marquee offers unrivalled views across the vines, and further afield the exquisite South Downs National Park.

Your love affair with Hambledon begins the moment you arrive. The exquisite views, charming grounds and wealth of history all help to make it a truly unique jewel in England’s crown. As the oldest commercial English vineyard, Hambledon was established in 1952 by General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones. A pioneer in his industry, Sir Guy is credited with being responsible for the turning point in the history of winegrowing. Hambledon’s hand-pruned vines boast 20 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. Hambledon has long been associated with noted Champagne estate Pol Roger, a favourite of Winston Churchill. Looking over the stunning fields and woodlands that surround Hambledon village, you’ll also spot the ‘cradle of cricket’ where the game was first formalised into the sport we know today.
