Located in the coastal town of Margate, Kent, Sands Hotel opened its doors in June 2013. Just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful sandy beach, our comfortable rooms, restaurant and function room take subtle inspiration from the magnificent seascape. The vast open skies, sparkling sands and drama of the sea influenced our choices of colour, light and ambience, bringing a touch of the seaside inside.
Our marriage license allows couples to have the choice of either our Bay Restaurant or Terrace Suite to house their ceremony, both of which overlook the spectacular views of Margate’s Main Sands.
Our beautiful Terrace Suite function room, with its private entrance, bathroom facilities, personal bar and floor length windows, maximises our sensational sea views and has additional ambient lighting to create the perfect atmosphere, day or night.
It can accommodate up to 70 guests for a wedding ceremony, 56 for a wedding breakfast and up to 80 guests for an evening reception with a buffet. For larger numbers we can offer the Sands Exclusive Package, which accommodates up to 150 guests. This includes the use of the entire Hotel for the day, including our 20 luxurious en suite bedrooms and breath-taking Roof Terrace.
