I’m a wedding cartoonist! The way I work is much the same as a photographer: I turn up on the day with a sketchbook, and over the course of the event I discreetly produce a series of fun and unique sketches which capture the atmosphere of your special day. Unlike almost every other wedding cartoonist, I am not a caricaturist: I create a set of detailed cartoons capturing the scene as a whole, rather than doing portraits of individual guests. My cartoons provide something a bit different: plenty of character and laughter, to complement the wedding photos.
I draw whatever catches my eye – normally I get a couple of requests as well, which I’m very happy to do – and by the end of the day the pictures will form a set of quirky memories for you to treasure. And because I’m working on the spot, I can hand over the sketchbook there and then, for you to take home with you! The cartoons are yours to do with what you like – to frame for your wall, to turn into thank-you cards, or to keep on a shelf next to the photo album. I can be hired by the happy couple, or by their friends as a wedding gift. And if I can’t attend in person, I can also draw the event from photographs afterwards.
