Kimpton Fitzroy London, one of the capital’s most iconic hotels, is delighted to announce the return of The Terrace, created in partnership with renowned Italian aperitif house, Campari. Nestled within the hotel’s stunning open-air courtyard in Bloomsbury, said to be London’s most romanticised intellectual quarter and recently recognised in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2026 “Best Places to Go in the UK,” The Terrace introduces their newly renovated, sun-drenched space for the neighbourhood: an effortlessly transportive, Italian-inspired escape in the heart of the bustling city.
The Terrace has been reimagined by Gunning Bespoke Ltd, led by Emily Gunning, with a refined seasonal update that introduces bespoke furnishings, soft layered textures and a relaxed contemporary aesthetic inspired by an Italian summer in the city. Key architectural references from the hotel are carried through the scheme, including Giallo Siena stone tabletops, while warm timber tones are paired with a fresher palette of yellows and corals. Together, these elements bring a sunlit vibrancy to the space, with subtle nods to coastal Italian destinations such as Portofino.
The menu celebrates the spirit of Italian dining with a curated offering of small plates, pizzetta and signature serves. Guests can enjoy Campari-led cocktails, including the Campari Spritz, Campari Soda and non-alcoholic Bambi Spritz. Alongside house creations such as the Bicicletta with Campari with white wine, soda and orange; the Fitzroy Aged Negroni with Campari, gin and Fitz's sweet vermouth blend; and the Uva e Carciofo featuring Cynar, Courvoisier and sweet vermouth. The drinks list is complemented by an extensive selection of sparkling wines and Champagne.
The culinary offering has been designed to further immerse guests in the relaxed, spirit of an Italian summer. Ranging from small snacks including spiced Gordal olives with garlic and chilli and crispy polenta fries with parmesan. Feeling like something more? The Terrace also serves larger plates, including marinated tuna crudo with cherry tomato and raspberry vinaigrette, saffron and lemon risotto with pine nuts and crispy kale, tricolour salad with buffalo mozzarella and avocado, and burrata with rocket, balsamic and focaccia.
To truly bring the Italian culinary cuisine to London, they are also serving stone-baked pizzetta, including margherita with torn basil and pepperoni with truffle honey, while desserts feature affogato, limoncello sgroppino and classic Italian rum baba.
The Terrace at Kimpton Fitzroy London opens on Sunday 24th May and will be open seven days a week, from 12:00 noon to 10:30 PM, offering a stylish seasonal retreat in the heart of Bloomsbury. With a retractable roof, the space is designed for all-weather enjoyment throughout the British summer. Reservations are recommended and can be made via the Kimpton Fitzroy London website www.kimptonfitzroylondon.com/theterrace - you'll certainly have honeymoon vibes!
