Glamping takeover territory – Hadrian's Wall Glamping, Cumbria – new for 2021!
This tiny site of two yurts is perfect for a two-family or multi-generational takeover. Located on a remote Cumbrian smallholding, guests can enjoy fresh eggs and the farm's own sausages and bacon for breakfast, cooked in the yurts' own compact kitchens or, perhaps, over a roaring campfire. The yurts sleep up to four, with proper beds and wood burners. There's a hot tub for use and, at night, you can soak beneath wonderfully starry, unpolluted skies. There are far reaching views to the peaks of the Pennines and the Lakes, while it's a mile walk (20 mins) to Hadrian's Wall.
Hadrian's Wall Glamping takeover (two yurts) is available from £225 per night based on up to four adults and four children sharing on an accommodation only basis (two-night minimum stay).
Adults only - Culdees Castle Estate Glamping, Perthshire, Scotland – new cabins for 2021!
Launched in 2020, this one-cabin glampsite on the 660 acres Culdees Castle Estate was an overnight sell out. For 2021 there are now three cabins and the word is they're just as likely to sell like hot cakes. This sophisticated, adults-only glamping site's cocoon-like cabins are tucked in a little woodland in the grounds of a crumbling castle. Stylishly decorated and self-contained, each luxury cabin sits in its own glade within the wood and features a private hot tub. The castle, the woodland, the wildlife and the cabins themselves conjure up the feeling of a Scottish fairy-tale and make it a magical place for a romantic getaway, all within an hour of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
A cabin is available from £140 per night based on two sharing on an accommodation only basis (two-night minimum stay).
A one family Pembrokeshire paradise – Poppy, Pembrokeshire, Wales – new for 2021!

No wildflower, Poppy is neat and well equipped with a king-sized bed taking centre stage beneath the lantern ceiling, perfect for gazing up at the stars. There's also a sofa bed, which is great for children, and private shower and loo facilities. The location is perfect for the seaside, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path less than 200 metres away, surf close by and colourful Tenby just four miles away. For eating out, there's a restaurant with a bay view and a pub within a few minutes' walk.

Hotel style pods on stilts with hot tubs – Park Hall Tree House Pods, Derbyshire – new for 2021!
Park Hall Pods are five luxurious glamping pods (sleeping 4-6) on stilts, perched on the edge of the Derbyshire village of Mapperley with whopping country views and grazing cows for neighbours. Despite the feeling of being immersed in the countryside, staying here feels very indulgent – the pods are thoroughly modern and views can be enjoyed from a hot tub with a glass of fizz. Inside there are all mod cons, plus en-suite shower rooms (with plush robes and towels) and compact kitchens equipped with everything you need right down to coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine. Doorstep excursions and activities include a bike ride through Shipley Country Park and along the Nutbrook Trail for either breakfast at a café or a spot of lunch at one of the local pubs.
Barn Owl pod is available from £180 per night based on up to six sharing on an accommodation only basis (two-night minimum stay).
Country estate glamping in the Wensum Valley – Wild Meadow, Norfolk – new for 2021!
With Raynham Hall and the estate church peeking through the trees, this all-new yurt glamping site, set within 800-acres of parkland once favoured by Charles II, offers royally good glamping for families, couples and friends. There are just four yurts, each with wooden floors, leather chairs, wood-burning stoves and comfortable beds. Outside there's a barbecue, fire pit and acres of car-free space and its just a short walk to the River Wensum for wild swimming. The country house is only very occasionally open to the public but Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall and Sandringham are all within a 20-minute drive if you're imagination has been captured and it's less than half an hour, too, to most of the beaches on the North Norfolk coast.
Yurts are available from £130 per night based on a family of four sharing on an accommodation-only basis (three-night minimum stay).
