Sugarhill Brighton announce charity partnership with the Rainforest Trust

Sugarhill Brighton announce charity partnership with the Rainforest Trust: Image 1 Sugar hill Brighton, the UK-based independent brand specialising in hand-illustrated print fashion, is proud to be a Conservation Circle Friend of Rainforest Trust, one of the world's most effective conservation charities.

Rainforest Trust works in partnership with trusted local NGOs and indigenous communities to save the world's most threatened rainforests and tropical ecosystems. The charity has been protecting rainforests for over 30 years and has already placed over 23 million acres under permanent protection. Rainforests safely store billions of tonnes of carbon, helping to mitigate climate change and stabilise global weather patterns. They are also home to 50% of the world's species – many of which are critically endangered – and thousands of indigenous communities who rely on the forests for their food, water and economic prosperity. In short, they are one of the most important natural resources on Earth, and their long-term protection is absolutely vital for our survival.

Sugarhill Brighton will be donating £5 per sale from certain styles, and all funds raised will be donated to Rainforest Trust's Conservation Action Fund. This vital fund supports Rainforest Trust's most urgent work around the world, allowing the charity to direct money where it is most needed. On average, it only costs Rainforest Trust £1.60 to protect an acre of rainforest, and every donation to the Conservation Action Fund is also doubled by generous friends of Rainforest Trust through the charity's SAVES Challenge. This means every pound raised saves twice as much rainforest for the climate, communities and wildlife!

Through the #WearAndCare initiative, Sugarhill Brighton collate funds for charity via the sale of certain garments. For each WearAndCare item sold, £5 goes directly to one of their chosen charities. The 2020 charities are; The Rainforest Trust, Plan International UK, Whoopsadaisy, Rainbow Trust, The Clock Tower Sanctuary, Give Directly and #FeedNHS via Just Giving.

Since launch in 2017, the independent UK brand has raised over £40k under the #WearAndCare scheme.
