Your Surrey Wedding- April/May 2020 (Issue 82)

We chose Lythe Hill because we wanted a relaxed, beachy vibe. The outside pergola overlooking the lake sold it for us. We met by a lake, got engaged by a lake, so we had to marry by a lake. The staff made the day so easy, Chloe did everything, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We can’t thank the venue and staff enough for their efforts. It will be a day I will remember forever. Mike decided to make our table plan. It looked like a beach sign, and we named the tables after beach-themed films. My mum’s friend made our cake. We asked for a beach theme, and she didn’t disappoint! We had a sweet cart and a photo booth area with lots of beach and surf props, which our guests loved. My mum’s friend, Sarah Irving, made our centrepieces using silk flowers, candles and glass vases. We didn’t want anything too over the top, so we chose white roses, gypsophila and green foliage. I feel in love with my shower bouquet from the moment I saw it, and the flower archway made it that extra bit special. We kept the décor very simple and personal to us. Mike made a lot of our decorations as he dabbles in arts and crafts in his spare time. 48
