Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 73)

We decided to get married at our local church followed by a reception at Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant. It’s a barn conversion, so we opted for rustic decorations to tie in with the décor. We used the on-site caterers, and they were exceptional. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We had some of our guests move the flowers from the church to Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant. We borrowed three milk churns from a friend and filled them with blooms that looked lovely. Our centrepieces were made up of glass bowls, LED lights, artificial flowers, stones, crystals and confetti. They were placed on circular wooden logs and looked great at night. We had a family friend make our cake. It was made up of chocolate, sponge and lemon and was decorated with icing and handmade flowers. To decorate the venue, we purchased large hearts and a heart-shaped wreath with our initials in the middle. We hired three vehicles from Top Class Cars. We opted for more traditional cars that look great. 28
