OCEAN waves Rachel and Jacob tied the knot in a romantic celebration at Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant Images courtesy of Eyes2Me Photography R achel and Jacob’s love story began at work. “After a wonderful few years together, I decided to propose in December 2018,” says the groom. “We were travelling around Thailand, and I told Rachel we had to be up early as we were going on a safari. We got ready and walked to the bus, and I noticed right away that the driver’s t-shirt was displaying an image of a hot air balloon and I was sure that had given the game away. I turned to Rachel and said ‘Do you know where we’re going now? And she replied ‘Yes the safari’ I sighed with relief and was glad that Rachel wasn’t a morning person. As we pulled up, Rachel was none the wiser and still thought we were going on a safari. I eventually told her we were going on a hot air balloon instead and she was really excited. I’d hired a private balloon, and when we were high in the sky, I asked her to turn around so I could take a photo of her looking out at the views. I then handed the camera to the pilot who began taking photos and handed me a bunch of red roses. I got down on one knee, and when she turned around she was in complete shock. The first words out of her mouth were ‘No way!’ and the tears started rolling down her face. We landed and had a champagne breakfast and spa day.” Here the bride shares some of her favourite moments from their big day... 27  REAL WEDDINGS
