Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 73)

I purchased my dress, cathedral-length veil and tiara from Allison Jayne. I accessorised with jewellery that Jake had given me, shoes from John Lewis and my mother’s garter as my something borrowed and something blue. Jake and his groomsmen hired their suits from Dyfed Menswear. They chose dark blue slim fitted suits, with white shirts, blue ties, handkerchiefs and buttonholes. The bridesmaids chose floor-length baby blue dresses. They were fitted at the waist and flowed at the bottom, which made it flattering for everyone to wear. They picked their shoes as I wanted them to feel comfortable on the day. The girls carried hoops down the aisle decorated with flowers, and I gave them all Swarovski bracelets to wear. We had a harpist play throughout the day, and an acoustic band perform at the wedding breakfast. They were amazing, and everyone loved their set. Later in the day, we had Fun Times Bouncy Castles erect a large inflatable photo booth and a sweet carousel which were massive hits with our friends and family. We had another band called The Trends play in the evening, they got our loved ones up and dancing and interacted well with the crowd. To finish the day we had a DJ perform until the early hours. The whole day was amazing, although Jake wasn’t happy about having to wait an hour in the church for me! It went by so fast, and we wish we could do it all over again. REAL WEDDINGS 29 
