Your East Midlands Wedding - October/November 2020 (Issue 40)

50 Be creative! A smaller guest list has some significant benefits aside from the cost savings, and you can shift the focus onto you and your partner. Think about what makes you smile and reflect your personalities and interests!  Don’t be afraid to be bold and creative in your ceremony design and ditch the parts you include because people expect them. Pick a more exciting space to hold your ceremony; be it a woodland glade, your garden or even rowing everyone out onto a lake. Include something in your ceremony to share the love with the friends and relatives you wish were there. I’ve created a flower seed blending ceremony to symbolise the blend of your new lives. The mixed seed can be gifted to absent guests to watch your love bloom year after year! Karen Faulkner | Stand Out Ceremonies www.standoutceremonies.co.uk FLOWER POWER As a supplier of British DIY flowers and dried flower crowns, we love small and intimate weddings! They allow you to put your special stamp on the day without spending a fortune. As with any important event, planning is key to creating the ultimate intimate do. Write a list of things you want from your day, do lots of research and create a Pinterest board for inspiration and to keep your ideas together. Don’t forget to speak to friends and family about anything they can help with too. Most importantly of all, have fun creating your special day!
