Your East Midlands Wedding - October/November 2020 (Issue 40)

INTIMATE WEDDINGS 49 A PERFECT DAY We catch up with some of the East Midlands’ top suppliers to find out top advice for intimate weddings A stylish, intimate wedding is a beautiful option for couples who want to be more creative with their budget. By placing emphasis on the finer details, it will ensure your guests feel truly special throughout the day.  Choosing a location that complements your guest list size is an important place to start. Having a smaller one will open up more options for a venue and don't forget about non-traditional spaces too! Think outside the box when it comes to the layout of your ceremony chairs; you don’t have to stick to rows. Consider having it in a semi-circle or spiral layout with you in the centre. That way, all guests will have the perfect view as the vows are exchanged. Avoid small round tables for the reception and opt for long trestle tables where guests can chat easily to each other to create the perfect atmosphere.  Having an intimate wedding doesn’t mean you have to miss out on having a big dress or impressive décor. You can have a breathtaking floral hanging installation above your sweetheart table, a decadent cake table display or a stunning fresh flowerwall as a photo booth backdrop.  Ruby Adds | Love Birds, Weddings & Events www.mylovebirdswedding.com DRESSED TO IMPRESS www.chriswaudphotography.com www.chriswaudphotography.com
