Your East Midlands Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 35)

The bridesmaids wore lace-topped navy maxi dresses. As fate would have it, the straps and top of the dress matched mine perfectly! All of my bridesmaids were amazing throughout, my maid-of-honour Jess was my rock and has given me so much confidence back that I had lost since my fibromyalgia diagnosis. The groom wore a navy suit with a brown bow tie and waistcoat while the groomsmen wore grey and had full ties. Aidan said felt very chilled but excited, I think the nerves only hit when we were at the church! However, as soon as I saw him the nerves disappeared. We had a live rock band called the Rooters. I discovered them at a beer festival years ago and have followed them ever since. Mum wasn’t too keen and wanted us to have a swing band! But neither of us like swing so we stuck to our guns and everyone was dancing all night I was a lot calmer than I thought I would be. I was worried that I would be anxious about being the centre of attention. However, on the day I just felt serene and so happy that this was the day that I finally got to marry my soul mate. The whole day was completely full of happiness, we enjoyed it together with our friends and family. We did our own thing but spent lots of the day together too and everyone had a brilliant time and danced into the night. REAL WEDDINGS 41 
