Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - November/December 2020 (Issue 28)

Our favours were pouches that myself and Kirsty made filled with delicious handmade Devon fudge. Stuffing them was fun because all the family got involved! Our sweetie cart looked so cute! “We hired a DJ to keep everyone entertained between the band’s sets. They played some Egyptian music that had all of our families enjoying some belly dancing which was something a bit different!” – Rana and Mo Our seating plan was hand-written by Kirsty, one of our bridesmaids. The names and table numbers were mounted on to an old pallet that my dad cleaned up for us and Kirsty also made our place cards. She used brown card to tie in with our rustic theme and slotted each one into pine cones collected from my parent’s garden by my five-year-old nephew. Our order of the day was also made by Kirsty and presented on another pallet. Top tip: “Remember to take a step back on the big day to watch everyone enjoying themselves – it’s a wonderful feeling.” – Rana and Mo We had a beautiful copper arch made by my dad that was decorated with flowers and foliage. Our flower arrangements were created by the talented Holly from Hollyhocks Florist. I found some pictures on Pinterest of designs and varieties that I liked and then left it to her, asking for an autumnal look. The outcome was incredible! REAL WEDDINGS 35 I fell in love with my lace dress the moment I saw it. I teamed it with some silver earrings, a delicate bracelet, my fab bridal shoes that were decorated with small flowers and of course our new wedding rings! 
