Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 26)

My family helped set up the venue with a sweetie table, area for our photo guest book and plenty of pretty décor in keeping with our theme like our order of the day presented on a wooden ladder. The team at the venue even let us use their potted plants to add to the look. My parents surprised us with fairylights suspended from the ceiling in the Orangery - they looked magical and were the perfect finishing touch! Julie from Courtney’s Creative Cakes in Honiton made us an incredible semi-naked design with minimalist touches including pretty roses and ribbon. She matched the flowers to our colour theme perfectly, despite not seeing any photos beforehand! Adam wore a navy suit teamed with a grey check waistcoat and a navy floral tie featuring a hint of pink to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. He teamed this with stylish brown shoes and a brown belt. “I didn’t have a best man so my three groomsmen all gave a speech and did an amazing job!” – Adam We asked our florist for seasonal blush pink varieties mixed with eucalyptus for the remainder of our wedding flowers. They turned out better than we could ever have imagined! Somehow the floristry team just knew what we wanted based on not very much information from us! “Kate at Deer Park was incredible, she had the whole day running like clockwork and nothing was too big or small for her to sort out for us. We didn’t need to worry about a thing.” – Lauren and Adam 30
