Your Kent Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 112)

The groomsmen wore grey suits with pastel pink ties and buttonholes to match the flowers. The bridesmaids wore matching sage-green bridesmaid dresses. I really hate shopping, so wedding dress shopping was not at the top of my to-do list. Zoe, from Beautiful in Curves, made me feel so comfortable; she pulled the dress off the rack, and I instantly knew that this was going to be the dress. I styled it with some high top lace bridal Converse, because you need to be comfortable on your wedding day. MK Catering were incredible and provided us with a two-course roast dinner board. People still come up to us and tell us that it was the best cauliflower cheese they’ve ever tasted. Our evening food was provided by a local pizzeria at the Breakwater and was delicious. They do the best pizzas in Dover and it was a great way to end the night. The place settings I handcrafted myself, with some of the girls over a few glasses of wine, using Scrabble pieces. Guests could take them home as an extra keepsake. Greta’s cakes taste amazing and look even more incredible. We wanted a naked cake with three different flavours, people had a choice of: chocolate, lemon, and then vanilla and strawberry. It wastopped with a bride and groom dinosaur cake topper (because why not?!). James rented matching grey suits from Well Suited for Men. The guys there were great and helped the boys pick out colours and styles. We went with ties and pocket squares that matched the bridesmaids and colour theme. James’ tie was a different colour to the groomsmen. 35 REAL WEDDINGS
