Rachael and Harry met on the first day of high school. They started out as friends and began dating when they were 13. “Bar the odd Ross and Rachel from Friends moment, we’ve been growing up together ever since,” Rachael says. Harry proposed to Rachael as they watched the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower from a quiet side street in Paris. Rachael, who had always dreamed of a romantic gesture without a spectacle, almost accidentally foiled his attempts several times when she dragged him (and his backpack containing the ring) on the rollercoasters at Disneyland Paris and felt too tired on the first two nights to stay up to see the lights. For Rachael and Harry, everything about Bowcliffe Hall felt right: “The elegant building, the statues and signs around the grounds that offered a classy feeling with personality, and the gardens that felt perfect for photos.” When they narrowed their shortlist to two venues, it was actually the Bowcliffe Hall staff who tipped the balance for them. “They were so friendly and really cared about us and making our wedding day special,” Rachael remembers.
