My mum has made it for my siblings and I every birthday for as long as I can remember. My grandma made it for us too so just oozes lovely memories. My parents had recently had to cut down a big oak tree in the front garden of our family home and I asked my dad to slice it up to make the cake stand. Our photographer Chris Milner and Andy Little our videographer were both brilliant and easy going. They were so discreet we barely noticed they were there. We had a beautiful flower arch at the mill made with lots of ivy, white roses and hydrangeas. We decorated the roof with paper aeroplane garlands. We made an entrance by arriving in Pete’s nephew’s Toylander electric car. 32
