In your own skin We talk to IMAGE Skincare founder and chairwoman Janna Ronert about skin confidence, and putting in place those all-important routines to achieve it Aglobal, professional brand, IMAGE Skincare is trusted by clinics and salons around the world. Founded by licensed aesthetician Janna Ronert, it launched in 2003 after she struggled to find effective, gentle skincare solutions for her own sensitive, rosaceaprone skin. Determined to combine results with skinrespecting formulas, she set out to create skincare that delivers visible change without unnecessary ingredients. Today, IMAGE Skincare is known for its ingredientdriven approach, highperformance formulas and simple routines that support long-term skin health. With a focus on glow, resilience and skin confidence, Janna’s approach aligns naturally with modern bridal beauty, where feeling good in your skin is just as important as how it looks. County Wedding Magazines’ beauty editor, Kelly Andrews, caught up with entrepreneur, founder and chairwoman Janna to find out more. KA IMAGE Skincare’s medical-grade products are trusted by skincare professionals across the globe. But what are the key differences between medicalgrade and standard beauty products? JR From a clinical standpoint, our products contain a lot of high actives with a strong delivery system working deeper into the skin, which is what makes them medical-grade. It’s results-driven skincare rather than cosmetic hydration products. KA With all eyes set to be on them, it’s easy to see why brides often feel the pressure to look flawless on their big day. What’s your philosophy on achieving healthy, glowing skin in the lead-up to a wedding? JR I don’t think the goal should be perfection, I think it’s about healthy glowing skin. So, my philosophy on that is very simple – using a really great cleanser, vitamin C serum, particularly for brides, and using an SPF every day. I think getting those basics right is the secret to healthy, glowing skin. I’d also recommend some gentle treatments. But don’t go crazy right before the wedding and do anything you’re not used to, causing the skin to become unhappy. We want a happy bride with happy skin. KA What are the most common skincare mistakes you see brides making before their wedding? JR I’d probably say doing too much too close to that wedding date and chasing the quick fix. Whatever you do to your skin should be something very gradual, while doing more of what really works for you. Avoid adding in a whole bunch of new treatments and products to get that perfected look. KA How do you feel the concept of bridal beauty has evolved since you founded IMAGE Skincare in 2003? BEAUTY INTERVIEW 67
