Your North West Wedding- October/November 2020 (Issue 64)

On the morning of the wedding, I felt nervous with anticipation about how the day would unfold after all our hard work. However, my nerves disappeared as soon as I saw Tom at the church. It was an amazing day, and seeing everything come together was incredible. Being surrounded by friends and family made it the best day of our lives. To keep everyone entertained, we hired a band called Bad Asteroids. We saw them perform at Mitton Hall during a DFC Showcase and thought they were great. They played after the meal and were an instant hit. We asked them to play a range of songs that would get people up and dancing, and they made the perfect playlist of modern tunes with old classics. The mother-of-the-groom made the bridesmaids’ dresses from a vintage Vogue pattern. They were midi-length navy blue designs that we teamed with nude stilettos and pink shawls. My dress was a Wtoo by Watters design from Foxglove Brides. I loved the princess style, embroidered beads and gorgeous sleeves. I accessorised with a silver hair clip, peep-toe stilettos and a two-tiered veil. The bridesmaids, my parents and I travelled to the church in a classic Rolls Royce 1957 Silver Cloud from Broughton Wedding Cars. Tom and the groomsmen wore navy three-piece tweed suits from Slater Menswear. Tom personalised his look with his great grandpa’s pocket watch and chain, his grandpa’ cufflinks and dad’s tie pin.
