Your North East Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 34)

51 EXCLUSIVE LOOKS THE CAKE “With a brief of Moroccan boho chic, I was keen to get to work to show how this could be incorporated in to a wedding bake,” says Autumn Anastasia Rabbitts from Plumb & Rabbitts Cake Studio. “I decided to make a simple buttercream cake, so that the photographer could add other elements so it fitted in with the styled shoot.” THE FLOWERS “I loved the theme of marriage vows on a secluded, rugged Northumbrian beach,” says Moira J Florist’s Moira Angus. “With this in mind I created the wedding flowers with a very natural feel, to emulate the rugged beauty of the surroundings. I decided to use local wild flowers, in bright colours to reflect the happiness and joy of the young couple. The flower crown was also designed with the bride’s hair colour in mind.” THE STATIONERY “Wild foliage and bold coloured flowers provided great inspiration for the stationery design,” says Helen Scott from Helen Scott Design. “A watercolour floral feature was created to match that of the flower arrangements, whilst incorporating the colour scheme. This floral design was continued throughout the collection, including printed-on matching envelope liners, paired with contrasting envelopes. Elements of gold also feature within the stationery design, in order to complement the gold accessories used within the styling of the shoot.” THE ACCESSORIES “Inspiration was taken from Moroccan-style tents, foods and furnishing, given a more natural local focus to complement the setting,” explains Jane Flatman from Birdcages and Dragonflies. “We provided the furniture and props for each location, using as many natural materials as possible. Vintage brass was our metal element, linking in with the sand and natural tones and allowing the flowers and food to give off colour.” FIND US ON INSTAGRAM! ameliajacobphotograph plumbandrabbittscakestudio birdcagesdragonflies thewhiteroombrides moira_j.florist wispz_hair sarahhickeyjewellery helensc0tt hotspur_1364
