50 THE SUIT “As it was a relaxed boho vibe we didn’t want to go too formal in terms of the groom’s outfit,” says Lisa Aynsley from Hotspur 1364. “For the beach we demonstrated how a chino blazer combination can be perfectly suitable for a wedding, especially in a on-trend shade of green. We also opted to have an open-collar blue suit without a tie, which still looks smart yet is perfect for late summer.” THE HAIR & MAKE-UP “The hair and make-up was kept organic to complement the boho vibe,” explains Sylvia Spuhler from Wispz Hairdressing. “The hair was left down with soft waves falling through the back, while small pieces were pinned back to allow the flower crown to sit perfectly. The make-up was kept natural, working with the model’s complexion – and being careful not to cover her freckles. The Duchess of Suffolk is the most sought-after look for brides at the moment, so I worked along those lines, keeping simple neutral colours to enhance her features.” THE RINGS “Beaches, sand dunes and the drama that the Northumberland coastline holds was the brief I was given in terms of wedding jewellery,” says Sarah Hickey from Sarah Hickey Jewellery. “The wedding bands used offered a texture reminiscent of the shore and sandy bays. I also supplied a green tourmaline ring to complement the sea, matched with an etched wishbone wedding band.”
