Your Kent Wedding - March/April 2021 (Issue 95)

Throughout the day we enjoyed canapés, a four-course wedding breakfast, and a buffet all supplied by Hadlow Manor. All of the food was excellent and there was plenty of it. We didn’t want our guests to be hungry! We wanted a traditional-style cake decorated with flowers to complement my bouquet. Nicola from Such Fun Cakes is very talented and the sugar flowers looked incredible. The wedding car looked great and was important to us because it allowed us to have a little bit of alone time on the journey from our ceremony in Chislehurst. We were surprised by how fast it could travel, until the driver told us it was actually a new car designed to look vintage! Our flowers were beautiful. Jackie from April Haven made the bouquets in exactly the colours we wanted, to match our bridesmaids’ dresses, and our centrepieces were simple and elegant to complement our theme. Rob’s mum and aunt also decorated the church with flowers. The tables were named after places we’d visited together and featured photos of us there. This was a nice way to illustrate our journey as a couple, as each place holds special memories for us. We crafted the table plan ourselves using materials from Hobbycraft to fit our colour scheme. We also made our own order of service, confetti and signs. REAL WEDDINGS 49 
