Happily, being inseparable for the last five years has meant that no such inhibitions remain, and they’ve enjoyed their top nosh together on many a subsequent occasion. Jamie proposed shortly after the couple picked up the keys to their first home together in Tunbridge Wells. Sophie remembers, “I ran into the house with excitement where, unbeknown to me, Jamie was on one knee holding the ring. It took me a while to notice as I was excitedly exploring, but when I did there were lots of tears and big ‘yes.’” The pair were keen to tie the knot in their new hometown, so they spent some time scouring the locality for the perfect venue, and The Spa Hotel ticked every box. “It has lovely décor, grand function rooms, large gardens with plenty of photo spots, fantastic food, and experienced wedding coordinators,” Sophie explains.
