Your Kent Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 88)

The bridesmaids wore sage green maxi dresses with a crossover front. I kept accessories simple with a pair of rose gold and pearl earrings, and a flower headband to complement by bouquet. I wore white Irregular Choice shoes with sparkly heels. My dress was from The Ella Rosa Collection by Kenneth Winston. It was a princess style A-line gown with a sequin tulle skirt. Although we were having a festival themed wedding I had always wanted a Disney- like dress and this was perfect. The groom and groomsmen wore matching grey three-piece suits. Jack pinned Pokemon badges to the inside of his jacket as he’s a big fan. They all accessorised with dragon belts, and shiny black and blue shoes. Our ceremony, held at Staplehurst Free Church, was very personal to us as we’d both grown up as members of the congregation. The band and registrar were all people we knew, and Jack’s Auntie Clare conducted the service. Our reception at my family home was also a venue filled with sentiment for us, given our history as a couple. The whole day had a real family feel. To do lists and spreadsheets are your friends. They’re a very good way of recording what you’ve done and what’s left to do. 54
