Your Kent Wedding - Nov/Dec 2019 (Issue 87)

Alexander wore a black velvet jacket with matching suit trousers and a bow tie, with the groomsmen all dressed in black suits. We chose Oad Street Food and Crafts because it’s my family business and was a perfect location in the countryside and has a direct route from the motorway, ideal for family travelling to the wedding. The marquee was a blank canvas so we could create the look we wanted. My bridesmaids wore two styles of dress from Jarlo London and ASOS. I’d always wanted to get married in a church, and Hollingbourne is a lovely cute little village church, perfect for us and only a 10-minute drive from our reception location. My family are musicians, so we had our ceremony music played on the violin and guitars, which was an incredibly romantic sound. We chose James Vincent McMorrow’s Higher Love to walk down the aisle and Latch by Sam Smith for the signing of the register. My dress was by Riki Dalal. It took me ages to find the one, as I knew exactly what I wanted: a long-sleeve gown with lace detail. So once I found this beauty, I knew it was for me! 46
