Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - Page number 32 - May/June 2021 (Issue 86)

I originally wanted blue hydrangeas for my bouquet and although I didn’t expect that to happen when our wedding moved to October our florist Dawn made it happen! The maid-of-honour and bridesmaid had a beautiful white long-stemmed rose each with eucalyptus, tied together in a blue ribbon. We decided to give hangover kits as wedding favours. We decorated them with little heart tags complete with #Ballsup2020, in honour of our surname and in recognition of Covid changing our wedding plans every 10 minutes! I must say I was very calm. Knowing the da y had finally come felt incredibly exciting. Martin was al so surprisingly relaxed. He says that because it was a more intimate event and there weren’t so many people looking a t him, he didn’t find it as nerve-racking! I wore a gorgeous Paloma Blanca dress with a Ronald Joyce veil, which had beautiful lace edging. I accessorised the look with sparkly drop earrings and necklace, and a pair of white Rainbow Club shoes. My maid-of-hour, bridesmaids and my mum organised a very special party limo to take me to the venue. We had the wonderful Black Cat Videography there as a surprise to video the whole day and live stream it to friends and family who weren’t able to be with us in person. 32
